Dockside Stage 1 is a modular, mixed-use development located canal-side in Whitianga. The project comprises two 110 m2 gabled modules, inspired by the elegant simplicity of traditional boatsheds. These are connected by a 40 m2 service block beneath a lower roof, creating a cohesive yet articulated architectural form. The negative space between the sheds is used to discreetly house external services while maintaining direct access to the street, enhancing both functionality and visual clarity.

The site area is 538 sqm, with the side and rear boundaries adjacent to a reserve and public walkway. The section is a narrow, elongated rectangle. Located on a 673 sqm site in Pt Chevalier, this premium residential development consists of five architecturally designed, three-level terrace homes arranged across two blocks. The dwellings include a mix of two- and three-bedroom configurations, with a total building area of 766 sqm. BCG Construction was engaged as the main contractor for the project, delivering full construction services from site establishment through to completion. The project was completed in just 10 months—two months ahead of programme—through proactive planning, disciplined project management, and strong coordination with consultants and subcontractors.

Early engagement by BCG with the project team helped minimise variations and mitigate programme risks. This approach enabled the developer to complete the build within the original budget while also achieving further savings through BCG’s cost engineering input and value management strategies.

High-quality materials were selected to ensure durability and visual impact, including La Paloma 'Madric' brickwork (stretcher bond), JSC Alaskan yellow cedar timber soffit, batten screen and cladding, and Trimrib Colorsteel roofing. Fairview architectural profile joinery enhances energy performance. Internal finishes feature engineered oak timber flooring, Belgotex 'Ravine' carpeting, engineered stone benchtops, AEG appliances, and Methven tapware. The Atlas HQ project is a contemporary three-storey commercial office building that integrates office spaces, a dedicated sales area, a warehouse, green roof podium and a large external hardstand for logistics and operations. The building features a striking external façade composed of bespoke curved roofs, precast concrete fins, in-situ feature concrete and high-performance curtain wall glazing. Its signature curved elements lend a dynamic architectural presence. 

Internally, the building showcases refined industrial aesthetics with key concrete elements, including two custom-formed concrete reception desk, curved concrete walls, concrete columns and polished concrete floors. Exposed services throughout the interior provide both functional clarity and a modern, raw design appeal. A striking glass lift shaft and skylight enhances transparency and light flow, while timber feature battens on the walls and ceilings introduce warmth and texture.
